William McGuire started Global Security 18 years ago in the basement of his home, picking up odd security assignments here and there until getting their first steady client. “This took a great deal of patience and a lot of cold calling and knocking on doors—the old school way,” states William. The President & Owner of Global has provided security for many events over the years and has adapted to the ever changing landscape of the Security world. “Leadership I can sum up in one word: listening—having the ability to listen to others and being able to communicate and command is the sign of good Leadership,” adds William.

With a strong foundation in state-of-the-art ground and air security as Vice President of Virgin Security Services in North America, William was inspired to form Global. For example their Sr. VP was the country manager for an airline and has over 20 years’ experience. “If you total it all up, we have over 100+ years of knowledge and we ask questions of our customers, or as we like to refer to them as ‘business partners’ as we are all in this together,” adds William.
By paying the strictest attention to detail, William has been able to take the company to new heights and have established a successful record of service, supporting a worldwide clientele that continues to enlist their company year after. Kindly discuss. “We have made mistakes but we do learn from those errors and that makes us better every day,” says William. “I guess we would have to say we are more critical of ourselves and because we are, I think this makes us a better company. We remember that the bad guy only has to be right once, we have to be right everyday!” In an instance, the company has a business partner that was experiencing lost or misplaced checked passenger baggage. The business partner approached Global and asked what they could do to minimize this situation. Global came up with a plan and since Global implemented this plan, they have had a 97 percent success but striving with each passing day to achieve a complete 100 percent.
Anticipating the technological evolution of 2020, William says there are a lot of technology out there and he along with his team of experts try to stay on top of the ever-changing world of technology. “So when we see a piece of tech that can help us do our jobs better and more effectively, then we field test and eventually implement it. How we stay ahead is by going to tradeshows and seeing what is out there,” states William.
The key differentiating factor for Global is that they listen to their customers always and deliver what they promise to the clients. “Are we 100 percent every time?
